Gli indipendentisti scozzesi dovrebbero imparare da un altro evento che e’ successo il 17 settembre del 1787, e il cui anniversario cadeva proprio ieri: la firma della Costituzione degli Stati Uniti d’America, dove il messaggio era ‘uniti’ non separati, ma con una chiara distinzione dei poteri del governo federale e di quello degli stati. Da questo dovrebbero imparare.
Scottish independentists should learn from another event whose anniversary just occurred yesterday: the signing of the Constitution of the United States of America, where the message was “stay together” and not stay separated, but with a clear separation of powers between the federal government and the states. They should learn from this.
