Dear all, I am running as delegate for ALDE individual members at the Budapest congress and I wish to have your support.
I have always been committed to a more integrated Europe based on the four freedoms and respect of citizens’ fundamental rights. I have been involved with ALDE activities in Italy since 2013 and devoted considerable time during the 2014 European elections to the Scelta Europea for ALDE campaign. As you may know, I am also heading a paneuropean campaign for an integrated migration policy, something that ALDE has been speaking on quite frequently (www.commonborders.eu). Therefore, I travel quite often around Europe including Brussels so I believe I am also in a good position to keep contacts with other IMs from the rest of Europe, which is essential to build a paneuropean organization.
As a delegate, I will also work for a stronger role of IMs within ALDE Party and allocation of a budget to IMs activities around Europe. I believe ALDE Party is on the right track to become a truly paneuropean Party, which is what the current political environment in Europe needs.
Something more about myself: I am 46 years old and in my professional life I work as a partner with an international law firm, based in Milan. I have lived and worked in Asia for about 18 years before returning to Europe in 2012. I hold degrees in law and political sciences from Rome University and I also hold an MA in international law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School at TUFTS, Boston. Since 2014 I am also president of Partito Federalista Europeo-Italy, which is closely linked to ALDE.
